A locally owned business that specialises in structural steel and general engineering. It is a third-generation family-owned business with a rich history in engineering, fabrication and general engineering business in southern Tasmania. Based in Kingston and operates state-of-the-art facilities specialising in the manufacture, refurbishment, repair, erection/installation, and maintenance of specialist equipment for the power generation, mining, mineral processing, aquaculture, water & sewage, and general engineering industries.

Your new role

You will be working on various projects for their client base which will invoice steel welding. As well as welding, you will also have the opportunity to operate various steel cutting machines and will see each project you start through to the end product.

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant trade qualifications (i.e. Welder/Boilermaker).
• Previous experience working in a similar role
• Flexible to work across different aspects of the welding workshop
• Must be able to work within a team environment as well as have a proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have a safety focus and adhere to safety procedures
• High-level communication skills
• Self-Motivated with a “can do” attitude.
